The Man from the Council

"Universally acclaimed. Unreservedly recommendable."
– Langdon Comprehensive School, London Borough of Newham.

"The show was dynamic, funny, and most importantly memorable and
informative. The important messages within the production were well made and the kids and teachers are still talking about it - excellent!"
– London Borough of Havering

What's it about?

The benefits of walking and cycling to school – the effects of car pollution – public transport - car sharing – road safety.

What's it like?

Pupils are encouraged to believe they are watching a serious presentation from an “expert” from the council. But as his talk continues, his attempts to be serious are undermined by an anarchic assistant.

A mixture of humour and education, specifically designed for years 7 and 8, this show communicates a large amount of information in a very subtle way.

At the end of the show, pupils are asked to recall all the information in the show by helping a volunteer remember all the things that they are shown on a conveyor belt.

Is there a teachers pack?

Each show is accompanied by a teachers pack suggesting curriculum links, follow up ideas and activities.
